At Dufatanye Organization, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive. Education is more than books and classrooms, it is the foundation for a brighter future, empowerment, and breaking the cycle of poverty.
On 06th September 2025, we had the privilege of supporting children’s education in Rwanda through two impactful initiatives: providing school supplies to 640 children and paying school fees for 28 children. Notebooks, pens, and other essential learning materials were distributed to ensure students have the tools they need to succeed. Tuition support ensures that students can continue their education without interruption, bringing stability and hope to families.

The impact of these interventions is profound. Families facing financial challenges have found relief, children who were once at risk of dropping out now have the support to stay in school, and communities are witnessing reduced dropout rates. These achievements bring new hope for a brighter future.
The children themselves have shared their heartfelt gratitude:
Umuhire Frank, 12, in Primary 5, said: “I am so happy now. I thank you because I feel confident, I will succeed next year. I am truly delighted; my parents could not afford these materials.”
Hagumusenge Valentina, Secondary 5, Languages and Literature, added: “These notebooks will help me study better, complete my assignments, and achieve good grades. They will support me in reaching my goals. I am grateful to those who helped us receive these materials.”

Dembe Umar, Education and Training Director, highlighted the broader vision: “Our program aims to ensure that every child can attend school without anyone being left behind. Education should be accessible to every child, regardless of financial situation. While the journey is long, the support of our partners is helping us take meaningful steps forward.”
This work would not have been possible without the generous support of our partners: Talbot Heath School, GrassRoots Rwanda, Canford Magna Church, and ZMission. Their commitment to education empowers children to dream bigger and achieve more.
The spiritual dimension of this mission is central to Dufatanye’s work. As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Through these efforts, this scripture is coming alive, offering children not just education, but encouragement, hope, and dignity. Paul’s words also resonate with our mission: “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:11). Indeed, thanksgiving is rising from the hearts of children and parents alike.

While notebooks, pens, and tuition support may seem like small gestures, they represent opportunity, stability, and the chance to shape a child’s future. Each child supported carries the hope of a better tomorrow, a hope nurtured by every staff member, partner, donor, and volunteer contributing to this mission.
As we continue this journey, we pray for our supporters: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). Your generosity is transforming lives, breaking barriers to education, and creating a generation of empowered young people ready to make a positive impact on the world.

At Dufatanye Organization, we remain committed to ensuring that education is a right, not a privilege, and that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
